Olga Chwaszczewska

Cello

Olga Chwaszczewska, born in 1996 in Poland, began her musical education in Gdańsk, where  she studied with Marcin Zdunik. She later moved to Denmark to continue her studies,  completing her Master’s degree under the guidance of Morten Zeuthen. She is currently pursuing a soloist diploma with Andreas Brantelid.

A dedicated chamber musician, Olga has received numerous awards with her ensembles in both Poland and Denmark. As a member of the Absalon String Quartet, she was awarded the  Léonie Sonning Talent Prize and won both the P2 Chamber Music Competition and the Rued Langgaard Competition. Earlier, she received First Prize at the International Johannes Brahms Chamber Music Competition in Gdańsk.

During her studies, Olga participated in several projects with the European Union Youth Orchestra, experiences that allowed her to travel extensively and collaborate with musicians from across Europe. These formative years greatly influenced her approach to orchestral playing, which she views as chamber music on a larger scale.

Alongside her chamber music activities, Olga performs regularly with leading Scandinavian orchestras and has worked extensively in the orchestral field, collaborating with many distinguished conductors and soloists. She is currently based in Denmark, where she combines an active orchestral and chamber music career with advanced soloist studies.
