Denne tysk-greske pianisten viste et så klart talent at hun allerede som syvåring fikk støtte av Yehudi Menuhin, og hun ble raskt omtalt som en kommende komet. Hun var bare 21 da hun ga ut sitt første album, med verk av Janáček. To år tidligere hadde hun sammen med pianist-søsteren Kivel grunnlagt Molyvos internasjonale musikkfestival på den greske øya Lesbos. Hun elsker å spille kammermusikk – best av alt, pianoduo med søsteren. For halvannet år siden ga hun ut innspillingen Glass Two, et samarbeidsprosjekt med vibrafonisten og komponisten Pascal Schumacher, med verk av Philip Glass og Schumacher selv. De fikk ikke bare strålende anmeldelser, men også Opud Klassik-prisen. Danae gjør sitt ytterste for å fremme hjemlandet Hellas, støtte flyktninger og hjelpe til å styrke båndene mellom Tyskland og Hellas.

German-Greek Danae continues to impress audiences and fellow musicians with her technique, stage presence, and musical depth. This past season she has toured twice in the US; with the multimedia project Bach in Space she has appeared in Stuttgart, Düsseldorf, Göttingen, and Bonn, as well as giving numerous concerts with her sister, the pianist Kivel. 11 years ago, the sisters founded the Molyvos International Music festival on the island of Lesbos. Danae is committed to supporting refugees in Greece and strengthening the connections between her two homelands.
